Island fishing is primarily geared toward live bait and focusing on finding the larger gamefish throughout the season. This can vary from fly lining 3″ anchovies in summer to deep dropping squid on meter marks during winter. Generally this fishing is geared toward 15 to 30lb setups with smooth drags and slower action rods to survive head shakes.
